[Outer margin: بسم الله ضرب هذا الدرهم بـ عكبرا سنة ٤١٩]
Reverse description Central field contains a five-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a plain inner circle, comprising the second part of the Shahada affirming Muhammad as the messenger of God, followed by the name of the Abbasid Caliph al-Qadir Billah and his title Amir al-Muminin. The script is bold and deeply struck in the Kufic style standard for Abbasid-era dirhams. A circular outer marginal legend carries the Quranic verse from Surat al-Tawba (9:33) in Arabic, attesting to the divine mission of the Prophet. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle and a toothed outer border following the irregular hammered flan.
