Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Hassan II facing left, with finely detailed hair and a suit collar visible at the truncation. Arabic legends flank the portrait in two vertical columns along the left and right fields, with the country name 'Kingdom of Morocco' on the left and the monarch's name 'Hassan II' on the right. The engraver's signature appears in small script at the lower right of the field, beneath the portrait. The coin is framed by a continuous rope border running along the inner edge of the rim.
