| Obverse description | Multi-line Arabic royal legend occupying the entire field, citing the ruler's genealogical titulature as ibn Dhi'l-Qarnayn ibn 'Ayn al-Dawla, rendered in bold raised Naskhi script. The inscription is arranged in three horizontal registers across the coin's face. A partial dotted border frames the upper portion of the design, conforming to the irregular flan. The lettering is deeply struck and clearly legible despite the uneven planchet. |

| Obverse lettering | ابن ذي القرنين ابن عين الدولة |
| Reverse description | A lion sejant facing left, carefully and skillfully engraved in high relief, occupying the central field. The mane is rendered with detailed individual tufts radiating around the head and neck, and a beaded collar is visible at the base of the neck. The tail curves upward prominently behind the haunches. The lion's musculature is modelled with considerable artistic refinement for a hammered copper issue, and a dotted inner border follows the edge of the irregular flan. |
