Obverse description Central field occupied by three horizontal lines of Arabic religious legend arranged in parallel registers, typical of Abbasid-style dirham design. The legends are enclosed within a single-line inner circle, with a partial marginal legend running along the periphery in Arabic script. The flan is irregular and shows a small clip or break at the left edge, consistent with emergency or rebellion coinage. The strike is somewhat uneven, reflecting the hasty production associated with the Jund rebellions in Ifriqya.
