| Obverse description | Central field occupied by three horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic legend arranged in parallel registers, typical of Abbasid-influenced dirham design. The field inscription contains the Islamic profession of faith and related religious formulae. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script runs along the inner border of the coin, enclosing the central text. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered production. The overall style reflects early Idrisid coinage closely imitating Abbasid monetary conventions. |
