正面描述 Square hammered silver flan with a dotted border framing the inner field. Multiple lines of Arabic inscription fill the central area, struck in relief in a characteristically crude Almohad-style script. The layout follows the traditional square dirham format with religious and dynastic legends arranged in horizontal registers across the field.

背面描述 Square flan with a dotted outer border enclosing multiple registers of Arabic script in relief. The inscription fills the field in horizontal lines, consistent with the Almohad square dirham tradition, bearing the name and titles of the rebel ruler Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Badji. The striking is characteristically irregular, reflecting the provisional nature of this rebel coinage.

附加信息

Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Badji seized Seville during the chaotic fragmentation that followed the collapse of Almohad authority in al-Andalus, holding the city for roughly two years before Almohad forces reasserted control. His coinage belongs to a dense cluster of taifa-revival issues produced by local strongmen across the peninsula during the 1220s and 1230s — each minting their own silver to assert legitimacy they could not sustain militarily. Al-Badji's tenure was too brief to generate large output, and documented survivors are scarce.
