正面铭文 لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له
背面描述 Central field contains multiple horizontal lines of Kufic script within a double-line inner circle, presenting the second part of the Shahada and the name of the Abbasid caliph. The word 'الله' appears prominently above the main inscription block, with additional lines naming the Abbasid overlord and the Banijurid subordinate authority. An inner marginal ring and an outer circular legend carry the mint name (Andaraba) and the Hijri date in Kufic script. The overall layout follows the standard Abbasid dirham format, with pellet or ring ornaments separating the concentric bands.

附加信息

The Banijurids were a minor but strategically positioned dynasty controlling the Andaraba valley in what is now northeastern Afghanistan — a region whose silver mines made it genuinely significant to Abbasid-era monetary networks. Ahmad b. Muhammad ruled as a semi-autonomous governor acknowledging Abbasid suzerainty, and his coinage reflects that subordinate relationship in its religious formulae rather than any claim to independent authority. Andaraba itself was prized less for its political weight than for its metallurgical output.

Album 1435 is among the scarcer Banijurid types, with documented examples spread thinly across a handful of specialist collections.
