| Opis rewersu | Central brass disc depicting a stylised effigy of the Virgin of Meritxell (Our Lady of Meritxell), the patron saint of Andorra, shown enthroned and crowned, holding the Christ Child before her in a frontal, hieratic composition reminiscent of Romanesque sculptural tradition. The figures are rendered in bold, simplified relief with fine detail on the crown and drapery. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the Catalan inscription MARE DE DÉU DE MERITXELL along the lower arc in raised Latin lettering, completing the design. |
