An outer marginal legend, partially visible due to the irregular flan, runs between concentric linear borders. The script is angular and deeply struck, consistent with the Kufic-derived style employed on Seljuq gold coinage of the late fifth century AH. Minor flat areas and die wear are present, typical of hammered issues of this period. |
