| Beschrijving keerzijde | The numeral '1' appears prominently in the upper central field in Arabic-Eastern script, with the denomination 'دينار' (Dinar) inscribed directly below in large Arabic lettering. The entire design is framed within a symmetrical wreath of laurel or olive branches, tied at the base with a decorative bow, mirroring the obverse composition. The field is otherwise plain, lending emphasis to the bold denomination text. |

Tarim, a historically significant city in the Hadhramaut valley, issued this piece amid the chaotic final years of British Aden Protectorate administration, just two years before the National Liberation Front forced the British withdrawal in 1967. Whether this platinum dinar ever circulated in any meaningful sense is doubtful — the Hadhramaut states were effectively absorbed into the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen shortly after, rendering local dynastic coinage obsolete almost immediately upon issue.
