Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a geometric frame, executed in angular Kufic script. The shahada and titles of the ruling authority are distributed across the field in bold, deeply struck lettering. A marginal legend in cursive Naskhi script encircles the central inscription, running along the inner border of the coin. The strike is characteristic of medieval Islamic hammered coinage, with slight irregularity in the flan. The overall design conforms to the Abbasid-influenced epigraphic tradition common to Salghurid dynastic coinage.
