Obverse description Central shield device bearing the Hungarian-style barry arms (horizontal bars), surmounted by a tower or turret finial, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in Latin characters runs along the periphery of the coin, partially legible due to the irregular flan and crude hammered execution typical of medieval Wallachian coinage.
