Opmerkingen

Kuwait's "Liberation" dinar was issued to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the country's liberation from Iraqi occupation in 1991. It was one of the earlier polymer commemoratives from Note Printing Australia, a format Kuwait's central bank chose partly for its durability as a collectible issue and partly because the Gulf climate is notoriously hard on cotton-paper currency.

Polymer commemoratives of this period frequently suffer from ink adhesion problems along fold lines — a known characteristic of early NPA polymer stock, worth examining closely on any circulated example.
