| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered gold dinar of irregular flan, bearing a central field with multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in four horizontal lines within a plain inner circle. The central legend reads the Shahada (profession of faith) and the mint and date formula, recording the striking of the dinar at Sijilmasa in the year 473 AH. A marginal legend in a concentric outer band encircles the central field, carrying additional religious text. The overall design is strictly epigraphic with no figural or geometric ornament, consistent with Almoravid-era monetary tradition. |

The central legend names the ruler Ibrahim ibn Abi Bakr with his title Amir al-Muslimin, and includes the Quranic verse of the Mission (Quran 9:33). The design is entirely epigraphic, aniconic, and conforms to the standard Almoravid dinar typology, with well-spaced letter forms on a flat, slightly irregular flan. |
