Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Emperor Haile Selassie I, depicted with a full beard and wearing an elaborate traditional Ethiopian imperial crown adorned with filigree detailing. The bust is finely rendered in high relief, with ornate ceremonial robes visible at the truncation.
