| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of Habib Bourguiba, first President of the Tunisian Republic, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features. The effigy occupies the central field, with an Arabic legend arcing across the upper periphery reading the president's name and title. The date appears in Western numerals at the base of the portrait, flanked by the continuation of the Arabic inscriptions denoting his presidential title and the Tunisian Republic. The portrait was engraved by Hatem El Mekki in a realist style characteristic of mid-twentieth-century francophone coinage traditions. |

| Reverse description | A rural agricultural allegory fills the central field, depicting a woman harvesting olives in the foreground. Behind her, wheat stalks, a palm tree, and a tractor evoke the agricultural wealth of Tunisia. The design is framed by Arabic legends along the upper and lower periphery identifying the issuing authority and the denomination. The engraver's name ELMEKKI appears within the reverse legend. The composition reflects the modernist socialist imagery prevalent on Tunisian coinage of the Bourguiba era. |
