| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in angular Kufic script arranged in horizontal registers, citing the name and titles of the Great Seljuq sultan Barkiyaruq along with acknowledgment of Abbasid suzerainty. The inscriptions are contained within a plain inner circle, with a marginal circular Arabic legend occupying the outer border. The mint name Nishapur and the date are incorporated within the legends in accordance with standard Seljuq gold dinar conventions. The flan is irregular and slightly wavy, typical of hammered production of the period. |
