| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered pale gold dinar of typical Abbasid-influenced Islamic type, struck on an irregular flan. The central field contains the Shahada in multiple lines of angular Kufic script, arranged within a plain inner circle. The marginal legend, running around the full circumference, carries the Quranic verse of the Mission (Quran 9:33) in Kufic script. The overall design follows the purely epigraphic tradition established by the Umayyad reform coinage, with no figurative devices. |
