| Reverse description | Reverse of the same irregular hammered flan, struck in pale gold. The central field displays four lines of Kufic script naming the overlord and the issuing ruler: 'لله / محمد / السلطان / أرسلان شاه', arranged symmetrically within a plain inner circle. The marginal inscription, running clockwise around the circumference, records the mint name Marw and the Hijri date 465, providing precise attribution to the Seljuq ruler Arslan Shah. The epigraphic style is consistent with contemporary Khorasanian dinar production. |
