The 1925 dinar was struck at the Poissy mint in France — the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes lacked sufficient domestic minting capacity in its early years and contracted out much of its coinage production to foreign facilities. This particular issue appeared just two years before King Aleksandar dissolved parliament and began consolidating power, eventually declaring his personal dictatorship in January 1929 and renaming the country Yugoslavia.
Poissy-struck pieces carry a small thunderbolt privy mark, useful for distinguishing them from any contemporaneous domestic or alternative foreign strikes.
