| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features multiple horizontal lines of Arabic kufic inscription arranged within a double circular border. The inner legend panel is enclosed by a beaded or dotted inner ring, with a further marginal legend running continuously around the circumference between two concentric linear borders. The overall design follows the classic Abbasid-derived dinar format, with religious formulae occupying the central area and additional dynastic or regnal inscriptions in the outer margin. The flan is slightly irregular at the edges, characteristic of hammered gold coinage of the period. |
