Obverse description Central field contains multiple lines of Kufic Arabic religious legend, arranged in a rectangular text block typical of Abbasid-style dinars. The central inscription is enclosed within a single circular inner border, surrounded by a continuous marginal legend in Arabic script running along the outer ring of the coin. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-hammered production. The overall design follows the aniconic epigraphic tradition of Islamic gold coinage, with no figural imagery. The legends include the standard Islamic profession of faith and references to the Abbasid caliph as suzerain.
