Obverse description Central square cartouche containing multiple lines of Arabic religious and dynastic inscriptions in Maghrebi script, densely arranged across the field. A marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the central square, running along all four sides within a beaded border. The overall layout follows the North African Almohad-derived dinar tradition, with the square-in-circle format characteristic of the Zayyanid coinage of Tlemcen. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a pronounced beaded outer rim framing the circular marginal legend.
