Reverse description Reverse displays multiple horizontal lines of Arabic inscription in Naskh script filling the central field, containing the name and titles of the ruling queen Abish bint Sa'd, the Salghurid Atabeg of Fars, along with the mint name Shiraz and the date in the Hijri calendar. A marginal circular legend in Arabic script borders the design, consistent with Ilkhanid-period vassal coinage conventions. The lettering is boldly rendered against a flat hammered gold field with slight irregularity typical of hand-struck medieval Islamic dinars.
