Obverse description The Tunisian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a galley, scales of justice, and a lion, surmounted by a crescent and star above the shield. The arms are flanked by two olive branches in low relief. The Arabic legend 'الجمهورية التونسية' (Republic of Tunisia) curves along the upper periphery, while the dual dating in both Hijri and Gregorian calendars appears in the lower field, separated by a dash.
