Obverse description Central field bears the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia coat of arms, depicting a torch flame surrounded by six torches bound together, set within a shield. The shield is flanked by wheat sheaves tied with a ribbon bearing the date 29·XI·1943, commemorating the founding of the AVNOJ assembly. The bilingual legend reading 'СФР JУГОСЛАВИJА' in Cyrillic and 'SFR JUGOSLAVIJA' in Latin script encircles the design along the periphery.

Reverse description The large numeral '1' dominates the upper central field, beneath which the denomination appears in bilingual form as 'ДИНАР' in Cyrillic and 'DINAR' in Latin script, followed by the date '1968' in the lower field. A semicircular wreath composed of an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right frames the denomination, joined at the base by a decorative ribbon bow. A arc of six five-pointed stars runs along the upper periphery above the numeral, within a beaded border.
