| Obverse description | Typographic letterpress design in olive-green on a tan guilloche underprint, with the central legend EINE DEUTSCHE MARK rendered in ornate lettering across the middle of the note, flanked to the right by an intaglio numeral 1 within a scalloped guilloche medallion enclosing the word MARK in an oval cartouche. Corner numerals 1 appear at all four angles within elaborate lathe-work borders, and the issuing authority text is set in smaller type beneath the central inscription. A two-letter prefix and seven-digit serial number are printed in red at upper centre. |
