Obverse description Central device comprises the bipartite Hungarian arms — alternating horizontal stripes on the dexter side and the patriarchal double cross on the sinister side — surmounted by an open royal crown. The mintmark letters K and B flank the shield on either side, serving as the Kremnica mint mark. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery within a beaded or rope border, identifying the sovereign. The overall style is characteristic of small hammered silver coinage of the mid-eighteenth century Habsburg period.
