| Reverse description | A plain cross occupying the full field, with each of the four cantons containing a single pellet or globule, forming the characteristic cross-and-four-pellets type common to Ottonian deniers. A partial Latin legend surrounds the design, though largely illegible due to the weak and off-center strike; only the letters M are partially legible in the surviving legend. The overall design conforms to the standard Visé mint type attributed to the episcopal coinage struck in the name of Henry II. |
