Beschrijving voorzijde Central field features a stylized castle or tower motif within an inner circle, rendered in the crude hammered style typical of early 14th-century North Italian feudal coinage. The design is surrounded by a beaded inner border, beyond which the Latin legend CEVE appears in Gothic characters. The outer border is decorated with a series of small rosette or quatrefoil ornaments evenly distributed around the coin's irregular flan, lending the piece a distinctive decorative character. The overall execution is characteristic of minor marquisate issues of the period, with moderate striking weakness evident.

Beschrijving keerzijde A bold, plain cross with broad arms divides the reverse field into four quarters, occupying the full diameter of the coin in a style consistent with medieval deniers of North Italian feudal lords. A small castle or tower motif is visible in the upper portion between the arms of the cross, likely referencing the heraldic device of the Marquisate of Ceva. The Latin legend * MARChIO, identifying the issuer as marquis, runs around the outer margin in Gothic script, partially affected by the irregular flan and off-center strike. The coin's surface shows typical die wear and flan irregularities consistent with hand-hammered billon coinage of the first half of the 14th century.
