Obverse description Bust of Carolus I (Charles I of Spain, Holy Roman Emperor Charles V) facing left in profile, rendered in a crude hammered style typical of Valencian billon coinage of the period. The effigy is depicted with a crown or regal headdress above the head, visible in the upper field. The surrounding circular legend reads CAROLVS DEI GRACIA, identifying the ruler by name and invoking divine authority. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered production. The relief is low and the overall die work is characteristic of early sixteenth-century Iberian peninsular small denomination coinage.

Reverse description Central device featuring the crowned royal arms or heraldic emblem of Valencia, rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped billon flan. The design shows a crowned shield or emblematic motif occupying the central field, surrounded by a circular legend. The legend reads VALENCIA MAIORICA, referencing the territories of Valencia and Majorca under Carolus I's dominion. The hammered technique results in uneven strike and flan irregularities typical of this denomination and period. The overall style is consistent with other Valencian deniers struck under the authority of Charles I during the first half of the sixteenth century.
