| Obverse description | Central rectangular field features a high-relief depiction of a mother monkey cradling her infant, rendered in fine detail against a polished mirror background. A blossoming cherry branch arches across the upper portion of the central panel. To the left of the central scene, a Chinese character for 'monkey' (猴) is displayed within a recessed square panel, while the date '2016' appears in a corresponding panel to the right. The surrounding field is decorated with an ornamental floral lattice pattern, and the MV (MasterVision) mintmaster's mark appears in the upper right of the central panel.
