Obverse description Displayed eagle with wings spread and head turned to the left, the chest bearing the chequered arms of Moravia rendered in relief. The design is executed in a bold, archaic hammered style characteristic of late 14th-century Italian ecclesiastical coinage. A circular uncial legend surrounds the central device, enclosed within a beaded border. The field is flat and irregular, consistent with hand-struck production.
