The shield is surmounted by a crown and enclosed within a double tressure of fleurs-de-lis, all contained within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend in uncial lettering reads ROBERTVS DEI G REX SCOT, separated by pellets or stops, running clockwise between the inner and outer beaded borders. |
