| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a saltire cross whose arms extend to the inner circle, with each arm flanked by a fleur-de-lis, the whole enclosed within a double tressure of six arcs. An annulet occupies the centre of the saltire at the intersection of its arms. Large quatrefoil ornaments, each bearing a prominent central pellet, fill the arcs of the tressure between the arms of the saltire, lending the design a richly decorative Gothic quality. The circular legend, separated by annulet stops in the characteristic manner of the first coinage of James II, runs between two plain borders and invokes divine protection for the Scottish people. |
