Obverse description Central device consisting of two cornucopias positioned symmetrically and crossed at their bases, flanking a central pomegranate — a traditional symbol of Granada and Colombian sovereignty. Above the cornucopias, a caduceus-like intertwined serpent ornament rises from the central motif. The surrounding legend ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin letters, while a series of six-pointed stars and a dentillated border encircle the entire design.

Reverse description Central design features the denomination UN DÉCIMO and date 1866 enclosed within a wreath, with a caduceus flanking each side of the denomination. The mint name BOGOTA appears at the top of the legend, and the fineness LEI 0,835 is inscribed at the bottom, indicating the silver standard. The overall layout follows the standard format for Colombian decimal coinage of the period, with all inscriptions in clear Latin lettering.
