正面描述 A heraldic condor with fully spread wings stands facing left atop a shield, rendered in finely detailed relief. The bird's head is turned to face the viewer's right, and its talons grip the shield below. The national motto POR LA RAZON O LA FUERZA arcs around the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, flanked by a beaded border. The date appears in the lower field, centered between two small five-pointed stars.

附加信息

Chile's décimo coinage of this period was a direct product of the country's post-independence monetary reform, which abandoned the old Spanish colonial real system in favor of a decimal structure formally adopted in 1851. The shift took years to fully implement in circulating coinage, and issues from the 1867–1880 window reflect a mint still calibrating production to civilian demand alongside the financial pressures of the War of the Pacific brewing on the northern frontier.

KM#136.2 distinguishes itself from the earlier .900 fine issues by its reduced silver standard — a quiet debasement that passed largely without public objection.
