| Obverse description | A rectangular cartouche with a plain linear border occupies the central field of the flan, containing a multi-line Arabic legend executed in a somewhat crude, informal naskh script. The surrounding field, visible at the corners and margins, shows the characteristic irregular edge of a hand-struck copper flan. A countermark impression is applied over the primary design, partially overlapping the cartouche and field. |
