| Reverse description | The reverse carries a two-line Arabic inscription in the field denoting the mint name and regnal year. The legend reads 'Darb Kashghar / 850' (Struck at Kashgar / [AH] 850), corresponding to 1446 CE. The script is a rough provincial Naskh, consistent with the anonymous copper issues of Kashgar. The flan is irregular and the strike is slightly off-center, with areas of weakness at the edges, typical of hammered Central Asian copper coinage of this period. |
