Obverse description Irregularly shaped hammered copper flan bearing a bold Arabic legend in the field, centrally disposed with characteristic Mughal calligraphic script. The inscription, struck with a hand-cut die, records the royal titulature of Emperor Shah Jahan in a manner typical of late Mughal copper coinage. The surface shows natural flan irregularities and die-shift consistent with hammered manufacture. The legend is arranged in multiple lines across the field, with the script partially clipped at the periphery due to the irregular planchet. Patination and surface corrosion typical of circulated copper are present throughout.

Reverse description Reverse flan of irregular hammered copper displaying a multi-line Arabic inscription in the field, recording the mint name Surat and regnal year references consistent with Mughal administrative coinage conventions. The die-struck legend is arranged horizontally across the surface with characteristic bold strokes of Mughal Naskh-style script. A small annulet or circular device is visible in the lower left quadrant of the field, a feature known on Surat mint issues of this type. The periphery is uneven and shows typical flan clipping, with areas of green copper corrosion consistent with long-term burial or extended circulation.
