| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears a two-line Arabic religious legend in bold, deeply struck calligraphy reading 'Allahu Akbar / Jalla Jalaluhu' (God is Great / Glorious is His Glory), the dynastic motto of Emperor Akbar. The script is rendered in a prominent Naskh hand typical of Mughal copper coinage. The legend is surrounded by a beaded border encircling the entire design. The flan is thick and irregular, consistent with hammered copper production of the period. Patches of green cuprite patina are visible across the surface. |
