| Obverse description | Nagari legend occupying the full field of the coin, reading 'Sri deva' as part of the devotional inscription 'Sri devayadasya' which continues across both sides. The characters are rendered in raised relief in the Nagari script, struck on a roughly circular flan with an irregular edge characteristic of medieval hammered coinage. The surface shows the bold, somewhat crude letterforms typical of Nepalese copper dam issues of the Thakuri and early Malla periods. |
