| Beschrijving voorzijde | This Swedish copper plate money (plåtmynt) bears five applied stamps on a large, roughly square cast copper flan. Each of the four corner stamps features a crowned royal cypher within a beaded circular border, surrounding the legend identifying Charles XI as king of the Swedes, Goths, and Wends, with the regnal date incorporated into the design. The central stamp, applied separately, displays the denomination '1 DALER' above the abbreviated mintmark for Silvermynt, serving as the primary value indicator for the issue. The overall surface of the plate exhibits the characteristic irregular casting texture and uneven edges typical of Swedish plåtmynt production of the seventeenth century. |
