Obverse description Armored effigy of King Sigismund III Vasa in right-facing profile, depicted in three-quarter armored bust with the right hand raising a sword over the shoulder and the left hand holding a globus cruciger. The bust is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the royal Latin legend arranged around the periphery of the coin. The portrait reflects the late Renaissance engraving style characteristic of Swedish coinage of the 1590s, with fine detailing on the armor.
