Reverse description The arms of the City of Riga — a stylized castle gateway — displayed prominently in the central field, surmounted by crossed keys and a crown. The date 1668 is divided and placed on either side of the central device, with the engraver's initials I·M flanking the lower portion of the design. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the entire composition along the rim, identifying the coin as a new silver piece of the city of Riga.
