Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of William the Silent (Willem van Oranje) facing right, depicted in three-quarter view wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a ruff collar, his right hand grasping an upright sword whose blade extends to the upper left field. A heraldic shield is visible at lower left. The surrounding legend in Latin is separated from the central device by a beaded inner border, with the date 1592 prominently positioned at the top of the field.

Reverse description Central shield of the West Friesland arms displaying two lions passant in pale, surmounted by an ornate crested tournament helmet rendered in high relief with elaborate acanthus-scrolled mantling spreading to both sides of the field. A small secondary escutcheon bearing a lion is visible atop the main achievement. The encircling Latin legend, separated from the central device by a beaded border, identifies the issuing authority of West Friesland.
