Reverse description The crowned coat of arms of the United Provinces — a rampant lion to sinister upon a shield charged with a bundle of arrows — occupies the central field, with the date divided on either side of the shield (16 - 22). The crown above the shield is rendered in high relief with fine decorative detail. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the Latin motto legend in the outer annulus, all struck on a characteristically irregular hammered flan.
