| Reverse description | A rampant lion passant rears to the left within the field, its tail curled over its back in the traditional heraldic manner of the Leeuwendaalder type. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by pellet stops, encircles the device and concludes with the mint date at the end of the inscription, followed by a privy mark where present. A beaded inner border separates the legend from the central field. The entire composition is struck in high relief consistent with the piedfort double-weight format, exhibiting strong die detail in the lion's mane and claws. |
