Reverse description A rampant lion passant to the sinister occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with flowing mane and raised forepaws, characteristic of the Dutch Leeuwendaalder type. A small shield bearing the Utrecht arms appears at the top of the field above the lion, serving as the mint mark. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the Latin circular legend disposed around the periphery, punctuated by lozenge-shaped stops. The overall strike is bold and well-centred, consistent with the heavier flan of this piedfort double-weight specimen.
