| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large Burgundian cross composed of interlaced floral and foliate ornaments, with the date 1567 divided across the horizontal arms of the cross. A crowned shield bearing the arms of Gelderland is placed at the top of the cross, while three additional heraldic devices occupy the remaining cardinal positions. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by pellets, runs along the entire coin periphery within a fine beaded border, identifying Philip II as King of Spain and Duke of Gelderland. |
